In an unusual act of neighbourly solidarity, the residents of Fitzroy Road in Primrose Hill came together to build their roof extensions together. The planning department decreed that there must not be unsightly single extension popping up at random, but that a co-ordinated approach - on the other hand- would be acceptable.

Through a flurry of legal agreements, planning obligations and structural requirements, Wilton Studio managed the built of the shells across all houses, that were then handed over for each to fit out, which Wilton Studio managed for two of the eleven.

The one fit-out shown is of a top floor flat with views over the street and over the roofs of Camden, set back behind the ornate parapet and providing a warm and personal environment for the sociable, object-d'art loving owner.

The roof has been featured in a Sunday Times article by Hugh Graham.
